Well we needed a new coffee maker so I went to Sams. It was very slow development a 10 cup pot,"20 Min". I decided to just deal with it since they only seem to last 12-14months. I only make 1 pot aday. After 5 months to the day I turned it on, took care of the kids came back for that much needed cup to find it empty. The lights came on but thats about it.The only pos was it made a hot cup of coffee. My advice stay away...

Pretty good coffee maker (4+ stars) : Oster RDXSS43 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Stainless Steel

I was on Amazon seeing for a new coffee pot when daughter was at Target and spotted this one. I read Amazon customer reviews while she was on the phone and told her to buy this one. 44.00 was a great price at Amazon but Target had it on sale for 29.99. Let me tell you folks, I have had this pot 5 days now and it makes great coffee. I do use the Mileta brown cone filters as they suggest. My counter top is such that it has room for this pot not sitting under a cabinet. Yes, it is tall. And, I use less coffee than I did in my Mr. Coffee Pots that I have used for 30 years. Mr. Coffee pots last us less than 2 years...)-: I pray this Oster will last longer. Oh...I did have a Crusinart one time that lasted 18 months. That pot costs 80.00. No more high-priced pots in my house.

Customer Review :

I wanted it to be good... : KRUPS KT4065, 10-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker, Stainless Steel

I have owned Krups appliances for years and must say that their capability has steadily, sometimes precipitously, declined. For brevity's sake I will swiftly list the cons. The coffee is never hot and to keep the brew warm you Must run the thermal box under hot water for 3-4 minutes (according to their instructions) before evening starting the laberious process of development a 'quick' pot of coffee- what an ecological waste! Next, the coffee grounds tend to splatter on the 'shower head' water gismo inside the maker and the reservoir is settled in one of the narrow corners of the interior with the water filter deal with right in the middle of an already small space - you cannot help hitting the filter deal with which might cause anyone's but a surgeon's hand to splash water all over their countertop. The pot has a double wall which should be a good thing; however, if you wash it frequently, water gets trapped between the walls and you have something akin to a thermos that stays perpetually tepid. You cannot pour coffee without dripping copiously, all over your table as the lid is extremely poorly designed- i.e., the coffee swishes along a raised internal rim and stays there long enough to drip either you are serving or letting it sit in the niche in the maker! Pros: the paper coffee filters work well and the stainless close is pretty and looks nice on my counter - i probably could have purchased a economy 'paper weight' at a statiionery store!
